What you will need
-
Sticks from the garden
-
Pipe-cleaners
-
Green card, or whatever colour you like for your leaves
-
Coloured or patterned paper for the flower petals – tissue paper is great, or magazines, or an old exercise book. A light-weight paper will make it easier to bunch the petals
-
Masking tape – green painters’ tape is cool
-
Scissors
-
Optional extra: tin-foil to give the flowers a little sparkle!
Step 1:
Fold the coloured or patterned paper, about 4 or 5 times, draw a heart shape, and cut it out. You will have a pile of heart-shaped petals!
Step 2:
Bend the top of a pipe-cleaner and arrange the petals around it, fasten them with masking-tape.
Step 3:
Cut out leaf shapes from the green card, and fold a crease down the middle.
Step 4:
Wind the pipe-cleaner around a stick, lashing the leaves to the stick. You can add multiple flowers to a stick if you like.
Step 5:
Arrange in a vase, and place on your window-sill.
Hey presto!
